Terms and conditions

1. Respectful Behavior: Treat others with respect; discrimination, harassment, or offensive language is not tolerated.
2. Roleplaying Etiquette: Stay true to your character and avoid metagaming; maintain a coherent narrative.
3. Character Creation: Create balanced characters fitting the BluShock universe; avoid overpowered or complex designs.
4. Consent: Obtain consent before involving other players' characters in significant actions.
5. GM Authority: Follow GM instructions and respect their decisions in resolving disputes.
6. In-Character vs. Out-of-Character: Differentiate IC and OOC communication clearly.
7. Posting Frequency: Be active and inform others if you anticipate inactivity.
8. Consequences: Your character's actions have realistic consequences.
9. Content Guidelines: Keep RP suitable for a PG-Mature audience; avoid explicit content.
10. External Communication: Use designated channels for OOC communication.
11. Consistency: Maintain consistency in character traits and history.
12. Collaboration: Collaborate with others to create engaging storylines.
13. Poaching: Respect community members' decisions; avoid poaching players.
14. Nudity and Sexual Acts: No nudity or sexual acts allowed in our community. If you're one of those that can't go 10 seconds without some rumpy pumpy, then please dismiss yourself and go to an adult themed sim where such actions take place.
15. Cabin Decor Guidelines: Decorate cabins within reasonable limits; seek permission for RP items.
16. Cleanup After Use: Remove temporary items to maintain a clutter-free environment.
17. Compliance: Agree to these terms to participate in BluShock RP; failure to comply may result in consequences.

• Prior experience in RP or Sci-Fi RP is preferred.
• Availability to engage in one or two RP missions per month.
• Adherence to roleplay etiquette, demonstrating respect for fellow participants and the narrative.
• Playable characters within BluShock should seamlessly align with the overarching narrative and established lore, as outlined in the races tab. While we welcome the introduction of fresh and imaginative alien races or species, it's essential to ensure their appropriateness within the existing universe.
• While having a Discord account is not mandatory, it's highly preferable for our RP community. We utilise Discord for all our RP announcements, including polls for scheduling dates and times, as well as planet announcements and more. If you're unable to join the BluShock server on Discord, you may miss out on crucial updates and details. Although we occasionally use our SL group for setting reminders or posting mission reports, we don't send personal reminders to individuals. Therefore, having a Discord account ensures you stay up-to-date with all the latest happenings in our RP universe.

• Friday's. Starting at 12:00PM until 2/3PM SLT  (RP dates may vary occasionally, and the scheduling details, including dates and times, are decided through polls conducted on our Discord server.)
• 24/7 Ship and main planet/city/hubworld RP (When available. RP Callouts are announced on Discord when you want to attract the attention of fellow RPers)
• RP Time zone: UK/Europe (In many instances, individuals from the UK and Europe find it challenging to stay awake beyond 3 PM SLT)
• (Certain exceptions may be made for individuals residing in the USA and Canadian time zones. But please note majority of the roleplayers are UK/EU based!)

1. What is BluShock RP?

   • BluShock RP is a dynamic and immersive science fiction roleplaying community. Set in a vast and intricate universe, players collaboratively weave stories, face challenges, and contribute to a rich narrative that evolves over time.

2. How do I join BluShock RP?

   • Joining BluShock is a straightforward process. Begin by contacting Faisel Constantine or filling out the contact form below. Familiarise yourself with the guidelines, and submit a character application. Once approved, you'll gain access to the RP region, ready to embark on interstellar adventures.

3. Are there specific character requirements?

   • While we encourage diverse characters, they should align with the overarching sci-fi theme. Our Character Guide provides detailed information on acceptable species, factions, and character backgrounds.

4. What events and missions are available?

   • BluShock hosts a variety of engaging RP events and missions. Once you have been invited to our Discord server, keep an eye on the RP Events Calendar or Polls in our Discord server for announcements. Missions range from diplomatic encounters, planetary exploration, combat, boss battles, big epic reveals and intense space battles etc, catering to different preferences and playstyles.

5. Can I contribute to the BluShock lore?

   • Absolutely! We value player contributions to our lore. If you have ideas for significant events, historical figures, or technological innovations, feel free to contact Faisel Constantine or NoahLion Resident or share your thoughts in the designated channels on Discord.

6. Can I play as an extremely giant mutant characters like 3000 feet tall monsters with exposed body parts and genitals?

   BluShock RP strives to maintain a General/Mature environment, promoting a respectful and inclusive atmosphere for all participants. Introducing characters of such extreme proportions, especially with explicit details, may not align with the group's content guidelines. We encourage creativity and unique character concepts, but we also aim to keep the RP enjoyable and comfortable for everyone. If you have character ideas that push the boundaries, it's recommended to discuss them with the RP leaders for guidance on adapting them to fit within the established community standards.

7. How can I provide feedback or suggestions?

   • Your input is essential to BluShock's continuous improvement. Connect with Faisel Constantine directly or use our Discord channels to share feedback, suggestions, or concerns. We appreciate the community's collaborative spirit.

8. What is the expected level of roleplaying?

   • While there's no requirement to be an expert, we encourage immersive and cooperative roleplaying. Engage with others, adhere to guidelines, and actively contribute to the unfolding narrative to enhance the overall RP experience.

9. Is there a character limit or specific roles needed?

   • BluShock boasts a diverse cast of characters, and there's flexibility for various roles. Check Discord channels or inquire with RP leaders to see if specific roles are currently needed.

10. How do I navigate the RP region and website?

    • Navigation is made easy in the SR-X Spectre with an elevator directory for seamless movement between decks.
    • The planets we visit are straight forward and easy to navigate once we get a feel of the layout.
    • The website features dropdown menus with comprehensive information. If you need assistance, reach out to fellow RPers or the BluShock support team.

11. Can I introduce my own storylines or subplots?

    • Certainly! Players are encouraged to contribute to the overarching storyline. While main story elements remain consistent, you have the freedom to create personal character arcs and subplots that add depth to your character's journey without impacting the main narrative.

12. I had an idea for a mission where everyone dies, and I become the leader of everything. Is this possible?

    While we appreciate creative thinking, BluShock RP operates on a collaborative and inclusive basis. Major story decisions, including leadership roles and the fate of characters, are determined collectively to ensure fairness and enjoyment for all participants. Proposing ideas for missions and events is encouraged, but they will be subject to group discussion and consensus. The aim is to maintain a balanced and engaging narrative that involves everyone in the community. If you have specific storyline aspirations, feel free to discuss them with Faisel Constantine or the RP leaders for further guidance.

13. Is BluShock owned by Star Trek RP groups?

    No, BluShock is an independent and original science fiction roleplay group. It is not affiliated with or owned by any Star Trek RP groups. BluShock has its unique storyline, characters, and setting, offering a distinct and engaging sci-fi experience for its members. The group is created and managed by its founders, providing a fresh and imaginative universe for roleplayers to explore.

14. I am an American, and my timezone is late for British or European people. Can I take over the RP narrative when everyone is asleep so that me and my pals can continue the story?

    Unfortunately this isn't feasible for several reasons:

    The RP storytellers and builders hold all the necessary props, building materials, and important characters that are crucial to progressing the story. Additionally, the Spectre SR-X upgrades and other key elements are managed by them.

    Fazzy Constantine is in charge of the entire storyline, and it is essential to maintain consistency and coherence in the narrative. Allowing late-night RPers to take over the story could lead to disjointed or contradictory plot developments.

    Therefore, it is impossible for late-night RPers to take over the story. The answer, regrettably, is no.
